The Animation Studios are on the top floor of B block, with two self-contained production studios located in D block. The resource is spread over a number of studios and teaching spaces, designed to facilitate teaching and learning across a wide range of animation practice - from traditional handdrawn and stop-motion techniques to computer-generated forms, digital compositing and post-production activities.
Media, Illustration and Graphic Design students who have enrolled on an animation pathway module have full access to portable equipment, studio spaces and technical guidance and support, as do all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled on an animation module.
Technical support is delivered through practical workshops, starting with a broad range of introductory level instruction, gradually becoming more focused and specific as your individual practice develops and evolves. In certain circumstances, students who are not enrolled on an animation module can take part in introductory workshops and demonstrationson basic animation practice.
